Ritter Landscape has provided leaf removal service to many homeowners and businesses in the West County area for over 25 years. Experienced personnel utilizing state-of-the-art equipment allow large quantities of leaves to be moved efficiently. Turf areas and ornamental beds are cleaned with commercial blowers, backpack blowers and hand rakes as needed. Weather permitting, leaf removal service is rendered the week prior to the scheduled local municipality curbside leaf pick up (for municipalities that offer curbside vacuuming). Fall leaf removal is generally provided twice, unless weather condition or client dictates otherwise.
Leaf mulching (pulverizing)
Ritter Landscape's leaf mulching is accomplished with special 60” mowing decks equipped with “high lift” mulching blades and expanded wire shredding screens which cause leaves to be cut and re-cut many times before being dispersed onto turf areas. Leaves are shredded into hundreds of pieces that decompose throughout the winter thereby adding valuable organic matter to the soil. Excessive quantities of shredded oak leaves may benefit from a lime application to correct low soil pH. Ornamental beds are cleaned with walk-behind blowers, backpack blowers and hand rakes.
Curbside Leaf Vacuum
Ritter Landscape's curbside leaf pick-up is accomplished efficiently by using 65 horsepower commercial leaf vacuums with 18” diameter suction hoses. (The size that municipalities use) Leaves are pulverized, deposited into specially equipped trucks and hauled away. The cost for curbside leaf pick-up is $5.00 per minute. (60.00 minimum charge)
